General Wholesale Electrical Supply, a California Corporation, was founded in 1971, in Sonora, California, by Mark Amaro. Some 30 plus years later, the company still maintains its corporate headquarters in Sonora, and is still a family owned and operated business.

Today, GWES consists of three electrical supply branches with approximately 30 employees located in Livermore, Auburn, and Sonora, California.

GWES has evolved over the years to a full service electrical supply company carrying a complete line of electrical equipment for both residential, commercial, and industrial applications. GWES is an authorized distributor for a variety of makes and models.

Dedicated to customer service and satisfaction, and to providing quality materials and service at a fair price, GWES is proud of its reputation as one of the premier electrical suppliers in Northern California and nationwide.
